Transition Planning

What is next for you in life? Are you going to college? Are you changing careers?

How do you prepare your son/daughter with learning differences for life after high school? How do you help your child transition into the adult world?

Let’s assess.

Transition planning for a young person is hard, especially with learning challenges. The GS 120 focuses on the following:

  • Meyers-Briggs

  • Holland Codes

  • Grit Survey

  • College Preference Reporting

  • College Exploration Sheet

  • Exceptionalities Companion

  • Structured Student/Parent Interview

  • Values & Motivator Summary and Clarification

  • Purpose & Passion Synthesis Statements

  • Career Exploration Worksheet

A personalized process.

Just as an Individualized Education Plan is personalized for each child, the GS 120 is a self-discovery process that captures a person’s strengths, interests, passions and values. It aligns with Transition Planning for students aged 16-22 to determine post-secondary education, career, community and independent living goals based on the information gathered during the assessment process.
